(a) to inform each holder of the certificate of assessment of the proposed rating in writing; and persistent organic pollutants are chemicals that can remain in the environment for a long time and travel long distances in water or the atmosphere. They accumulate in the bodies of living organisms, including humans, and are present at higher levels in the food chain. Persistent organic pollutants are also toxic to living organisms. For example, DDT, polychlorobiphenyls (PCBs) and certain perfluorocarbon and polyfluorocarbon substances (PFAS) are examples of POPs. (ii) a holder of the other assessment certificate referred to in this paragraph has asked the Executive Director to amend the note. 1. Where an industrial chemical is subject to an international agreement or a prescribed international agreement, the rules can be established: industrial chemicals in the Australian Industrial Chemicals Inventory may be imported by any registered importer. The importer must comply with the terms of the list. Australia does not automatically introduce controls for new POPs listed in the Stockholm Convention. To ratify these new amendments, Australia must implement an internal contractual process. The Stockholm Convention is managed by the exit of the United Nations Environment Programme and its secretariat is based in Geneva, Switzerland. The COP or the conference of the parties to the Stockholm Convention governs the POP Convention, of which its members are parties. 160…….. exchanges some information on industrial chemicals… 128 (4) The application must be submitted in writing to the Executive Director within 20 business days from the date the person was informed of the verifiable decision or within a longer period of time, as permitted by the Executive Director. (c) provide for the collection and publication of information and statistics on industrial chemicals; and enemies must be registered for one year of registration (starting September 1). A registration fee must be paid for registration. Sanctions apply when a person introduces an industrial chemical, if it is not registered.
3. The provisions may prescribe circumstances in which paragraph 1 is not applicable.
